Visit for the day and let the ancient stones tell you tales of a glorious past. Enjoy the evocative atmosphere of this historic place. See the remains of the temples and royal residences and admire the handsome restored palace of Bang-pa-in. Stop at the temple of Wat Yai Chai Mongkon with its towering stupa. Absorb the tranquility of its massive sleeping Buddha and sit awhile in the plumeria-scented courtyard filled with countless statues of meditating Buddhas.You will also see one of the most photographed features of Ayutthaya – the famous Buddha’s head cradled in the roots of a fig tree at Wat Mahathat. Take the scenic river back to Bangkok. Relax on a comfortable boat and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch while the lovely Thai countryside slips past

  • Day 1: Ayutthaya with River Cruise 1 Day

    Our guide and driver will meet you  at your hotel in Bangkok and transfer you  to visit the Historic City of Ayutthaya and discover the proud and powerful kingdom that was the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai. Located by the Chao Phraya River, this UNESCO World Heritage listed site is rich in history, featuring ruins of fabulous ornate structures that will give you insight into the 4 centuries when the Kings of Ayutthaya ruled. After exploring the ancient capital, you will visit the nearby Bang Pa-In summer palace, used occasionally by the present day ruling Chakri Dynasty. Next,  travel about an hour to the Wat Chong-Lom Pier where you will board a cruise boat. Feast on buffet lunch featuring cuisine from around the world as you float along the Chao Phraya River. Experience the typical Thai water-borne life and admire the scenery along the way before arriving at the River City Pier. Tour ends at your hotel.
