This 15 day Buddhist tour takes you to the most sacred pagodas in Vietnam and creates you a balance of mind and body in spiritual development.

Buddhism as practiced by the ethnic  Vietnamese is mainly of the Mahayana tradition. Buddhism may have first come to Vietnam as early as the 3rd century BC from China in the 2nd century AD. Vietnamese Buddhism has had a symbiotic relationship with certain elements of Taoism, Chinese spirituality, and the Vietnamese indigenous religion.

  • Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)

    Arrival at Noi Bai International airport, you will be greeted by our guide and driver and transferred to hotel for check in. Later you will take an orientation tour of Hanoi. Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

  • Day 2: Hanoi City Tour – Bo De Pagoda (B, L)

    You will take a full  day of exploring the fascinating city of Hanoi where old and new things blend together, Vietnamese, Chinese and French cultures mixed together. You will have a pleasant walk around the peaceful Ho Chi Minh complex to visit HCM Mausoleum, HCM’s stilt house and One Pillar pagoda. Then proceed to West Lake and Tran Quoc pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi. Next is Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam. After lunch, you will continuously visit Bo De pagoda run by lady monk and is home of about 50 abandoned orphans (around 20 infants, 15 high school students, and 15 secondary pupils). Finally, you will take a fascinating cyclo tour through the famous 36 ancient streets of the Old Quarter, followed by Water Puppet Show . Overnight in Hanoi.

  • Day 3: Hanoi - Perfume Pagoda (B, L)

    After breakfast, you will take a 60km drive to Perfume pagoda, which is a vast complex of Buddhist temples and shrines built into the limestone Huong Tich mountains. It is the site of a religious festival which draws large numbers of pilgrims from across Vietnam. Once there, you will take a rowing boat to Huong Son mountain. Then  you either take a cable car or walk up to the famous Huong Tich cave and pagoda. Admire the serene atmosphere, the beautiful cave and beautiful scenery. You will also visit Thien Tru Pagoda when coming down. After lunch, you will take the rowing boat back to the boat station and return to Hanoi for your overnight stay.

  • Day 4: Hanoi – Trang An - Bai Dinh Pagoda (B, L)

    After breakfast, you will take an excursion to Trang An, about 80km away south of Hanoi. On arrival, you will take a boat to visit cave complex such as Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in mystery and wildness, see scenery of mountain and rivers – a Ha Long on land of Ninh Binh.

    After lunch in a local restaurant, you will visit Bai Dinh pagoda, which is a complex of Buddhist temples on Bai Dinh Mountain. The compound consists of the original old temple and a newly created larger temple. It is considered the largest complex of Buddhist temples in Vietnam and has become a popular site for Buddhist pilgrimages from all over Vietnam. Here you will also have chance of winessing the biggest buddha statue in the Southeast Asia. Return to Hanoi for your overnight stay.

  • Day 5: Hanoi – Tay Thien Pagoda – Tam Dao (B, L, D)

    Morning drive to Tay Thien Pagoda, a well-known complex that is home to a cornucopia of historical Buddhist relics and temples. The complex boasts splendid architecture, rich history and breathtaking natural scenery. Dinner and overnight in Tam Dao.

  • Day 6: Tam Dao – Yen Tu Pagoda – Halong (B, L, D)

    After breakfast, you will drive to Yen Tu Mount, which is famous all over the world for its beautiful landscapes, historical relics and hundreds of ancient pagodas and towers, earning its name as the Buddhism capital of Vietnam. Afterward, you wil continue your drive to Halong City for your dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 7: Halong Overnight Cruise (B, L, D)

    After breakfast, free to wander around Halong till transferring to Halong pier to embark on our junk. Your 24 hour cruise begins....., and seafood meals will be served during your boat trip. Stop to visit Surprising Cave and conquer the Titop Beach. Dinner and overnight on board.

  • Day 8: Halong – Hanoi – Danang (B, L)

    Wake up by morning breeze. Have breakfast on board before taking a sampan to visit Luon cave. Return to the boat to continue discovering the wonder of creations. Lunch will be served while heading back to Halong pier. Return to directy Hanoi airport for your flight to Danang. Overnight in Danang.

  • Day 9: Danang – Hoian (B, L, D)

    This morning, you will visit Cham Museum and Marble mountains with interesting Linh Ung pagodas, Tang Chan cave pagoda, Huyen Khong cave pagoda, Tam Thai pagodas. After lunch, continue driving to Hoian, which is recognized by UNESCO a world cultural heritage. You will take a walking tour through ancient street to visit the 200 years-old temples and houses, Japanese Covered Bridge, Phung Hung Ancient House and Phuc Kien Temple. Dinner and overnight in Hoian.

    Today after breakfast, you will have a full day at your leisure. Overnight in Hoian.

    Morning you will check out the hotel and a 3 hour drive to Hue via Hai Van Pass and Lang Co Beach. Arrival in Hue, you will visit Ancient Citadel, Fobidden Purple City, Royal Tombs and Dong Ba Market. You will end your tour by a vist to Duc Son Pagoda, care orphan institute, run by Buddhist nuns and home to 165 orphan children. Tonight after dinner you will take a boat cruise on Perfume River while enjoying the Traditional Music Performance. Overnight in Hue.

  • Day 12: Hue – Ho Chi Minh (B, L)

    Morning flight to Ho Chi Minh, formerly known as Saigon, now still call Saigon. An afternoon city tour includes Reunification Hall, War Museum, Post Office Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Saigon.

  • Day 13: Ho Chi Minh – Cao Dai Temple – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)

    Today you will visit Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh where Mass is done by the Caodaism followers at noon. It is a combination of Christianity, Buddhism , Islam, Confucianism, Hinduism, Geniism, and Taoism. Afterward, continue to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, around 70km North West of down town of Ho Chi Minh City. The Cu Chi Tunnels system was created  around 1948 to assist Viet Minh in their combat against the French. Building them continued for over 25 years until it was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers. During the American war, the entire area of Cu Chi was designated as a free fire zone and was heavily bombarded. Since 1988, two sections of tunnels have been opened up for visitors. Return to Saigon for your overnight stay.

  • Day 14: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta – Vinh Trang Pagoda (B, L)

    Morning depart to My Tho, the closest Mekong Delta City where you will see part of the picturesque natural setting of Vietnam. On arrival, take a boat ride on Tien River toward Tortoise Island. On the way, view the fishing port, stilt houses, boat building workshops, and the other islands such as Dragon, Phoenix and Unicorn. You will also have chance to taste a variety of fruits while listening to southern Vietnamese folk music" performed by the locals. After lunch in the orchard, the amazing rowing boat trip on the small canal is something unique you should not miss. You will visit Vinh Trang pagoda on your return to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
