Chiang Mai city has a wealth of beautiful and historic Buddhist temples, 36 Wats within the old city walls and many more in the surrounding countryside. 

On this Chiang Mai tour you will visit the most important temples. You will see the architectural diversity between the Lanna, Thai, Sri Lankan, Burmese and Mon styles. If you are a temple buff or would like to get more aquatinted with some of Chiang Mai's temples then this is a great way to spend a half day. The tour will also drop by a real suburban Chiang Mai market where an abundance of thai and local foods are offered.

    Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai's ancient city walls houses five temples - the glorious Wat Suan Dok, where the ash remains of Chiang Mai's Royal Family are kept; the enchanting Wat Phra Singh built in 1345 AD, known for its collection of fine buildings and old library; the magnificent Wat Chedi Luang; the majestic Wat Jedyod, temple of Seven Spires; and the oldest of the five, Wat Chiang Mun, which houses two sacred Buddha images and the chedi with the surrounding stone elephant heads.
