Unwind the best beach in Asia in Hong island on a Krabi day tour and enjoy the crystal clear water and unspoiled nature in other islands such as Pak Bea and Ladin.

The main island, Hong is uninhabited, except for the birds, white-faced gibbons and giant monitor lizards that can be often spotted on the main white sand beach (at quiet times, at least). Its interior is home to a large lagoon (the “Room” to which its Thai name “Hong” refers). This is best accessed at low tide by kayak, as the diminishing water level makes its colour change drastically from a deep emerald green to a clear turquoise; motor boats (either longtail or speedboats) will go around mid-tide. The entrance to the lagoon is through a dramatic cliff passage that should be photographed on your way out.

  • Day 1: Hong Island Tour 1 Day

“Hong” means room in Thai, and a visit to this peaceful and untouched island allows you to enjoy the crystal clear water and unspoiled nature. Go on an expedition to Hong Island, Lading Island, Pak Bia Island and the swallow bird preservation area.
