Travel to the old historic town of Phetchaburi on a day tour from Hua Hin and see the Petchaburi Summer Palace of King Rama IV.

You will visit the numerous old temples and cave monasteries lining the town and get a glimpse into the austere lives of the Buddhist monks. This quiet and laid-back town is best known for the beautiful Summer Palace of King Rama IV built around 1860. It is world of grandeur and splendour graced with royal halls, palaces, and temples, built in Thai, neoclassical Western and Chinese architectural styles. The imposing Khao Luang cave temple is the most important cave of Phetchaburi as it is houses a large image of Buddha placed by King Mongkut (Rama IV). The cave also contains a Wat (temple-monastery) that houses a 170 Buddha images.

 

  • Day 1: Phetchaburi Summer Palace 1 Day

    Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hua Hin. Get to go to one of the oldest provinces in Thailand. Stop by the 1000 year old temple of Wat Kamphaeng Laeng. At Phra Nakhon Khiri you continue your journey by cable car to see the beautiful summer Palace of King Rama IV. See the Royal heritage in the Palace museum and admire the spectacular view from the observatory. Lunch is served before continuing to Khao Luang Cave which houses no less than 170 Buddha images. Free time to explore the town before returning to your hotel.
