Vietnam - Laos Family Vacation

Transfer to visit Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, Remnant War Museum, Giac Lam Pagoda, China Town with ancient Thien Hau Temples, bustling Binh Tay Market and Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Saigon.

After breakfast, you will take an excursion to Mekong Delta to the town of Vinh Long , take a floating boat to cruise of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. Stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish, before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. Toward the end of the day, you arrive in Can Tho city, heart of the Mekong Delta. Overnight in Can Tho.  

This morning taking a boat trip to visit the Cai Rang Floating market, one of the busiest floating markets in the South East Asia. After watching how locals live and market their products on boats and purchase among them, the boat will cruise back to North bank of Hau river where getting off and to Saigon airport for your flight to Hue. Overnight in Hue.

Morning you will take a private boat for cruising on the romantic Perfume River. This gives you a great view on the Perfume River and surrounding area. Your first stop is Thien Mu Pagoda then from here you will drive to visit Royal Tombs. After lunch, you will continue to Ancient Citadel and Forbidden Purple City and the Dong Ba Market. Overnight in Hue.

Transfer to Hoian passing the Hai Van pass. Then a half day walking tour includes Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Temple and Tan Ky Ancient House. Overnight in Hoi An.

Free time to relax and discover Hoi An ancient town by yourself. Overnight in Hoi An.

Transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi. Transfer to hotel for check-in. Then take an orientation tour of Hanoi. Enjoy the Water Puppet Show near Hoan Kiem Lake near Thang Long Theater . Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

A full day city tour of Hanoi includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his House on Stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple, the Temple of Literature and the Vietnam Ethnology Museum. After lunch, take a cyclo for an hour to visit Old Quarter called 36 Ancient streets. Overnight in Hanoi.

Morning transfer to Halong Bay, which is recognized by UNESCO as world natural heritage site. Sip on a refreshing welcome drink upon check in before you begin your cruise through the bay. Feast on a delicious lunch as you cruise among hundreds of islets (Dinh Huong islet, Ga Choi Fighting Cock islet, Dog islet, Finger islet, etc.) to discover unspoilt pockets of Halong Bay and visit Sung Sot cave, one of the most imposing grottos of the Bay. Swim at Soi Sim beach or Titov beach or a short trek to the top of Titov Mountain for a magnificent panoramic scenery. After visiting Amazing cave, you can go kayaking from Soi Sim beach to Luon Cave to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the bay (or from Bo Nau cave, to Soi Sim beach to TiTov) Enjoy your dinner with fresh seafood on board. Squid fishing or relax and chatting with your partner, friends, family. Overnight on board.

For early risers complimentary tea, coffee, fruit and cake are served. Visit Luon cave on small bamboo boat paddle by out crew staff and enjoy the quiet atmosphere enclosed by high islets and mountains. Be back to our Huong Hai Junk. Sail past rock formations such as Man’s Head islet, Tortoise islet, Butterfly cave, Lion islet, Bai Tho mountain, enjoy the tranquil scenery as the boat meanders its way through the bay on the way back to Ha Long city, etc. Arrange your luggage and do the check out onboard at around 9.00 am. Enjoy a wholesome brunch as your boat weaves through strange-shaped limestone rock formations. Arrive back at Ha Long city for disembarkation, return to Hanoi for your overnight stay.

Free at leisure till transferring to airport for flight to Luang Prabang.  On arrival, you will visit Wat Xiengthong, the 16th century temple which, more than any temples in Luang Prabang, epitomizes all the elegance and grace of Luang Prabang architecture; then we  Climb up Phousi Hill, the 328 steps leads to the summit of Phousi hill  that dominates the sky-line of Luang Prabang overlooking the finest panoramic view in the whole Luang Prabang. From there, explore Street Night Bazaar, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.  Overnight in Luang Prabang.

After breakfast,  you will visit National Museum, the former Royal Palace which houses the collection of valuables including the famous Prabang Buddha statue, gifts received from foreign dignitaries…etc, then take a drive (30 km South) to visit Kuangsi Waterfall, which, though not very high, is spectacular and really beautiful with its green surroundings as the preserved National park. Stop en-route, visit Ban Na Oune, a small village of a hill-tribe group “Hmong”, probably the best-known minority group in Laos. Just before arriving at Kuangsi waterfall, there is another village of Khmu minority group, namely Ban Tha Pane that we will visit. Our picnic lunch is served at the shady park nearby Kuangsi waterfall. There is plenty of time for relaxing and a swim in cool water, head back to Luang Prabang  late in the afternoon for your overnight stay.

Morning flight to Vientiane.  On arrival, you will take a sightseeing tour of Vientiane, to visit religious museums of Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple to have been survived from the Siamese war of 1828 and its cloister contains more than 8000 Buddha statues; Wat Ho Prakeo, the former home-temple of the Emerald Buddha statue or Pra Keo, but today it contains a collection of Buddha statues, antiques and all artifacts found in around Vientiane; That Luang Stupa, Symbol  of Lao nation the single most important monument in Laos, which was built to cover the original small stupa containing a piece of the chest bone of Buddha; Patouxay (Arch de Triumph), built quite recently in commemoration of those who died during the wars in the past and it is today as the land-mark of Vientiane. Overnight in Vientiane.

After breakfast, spend your last minute shopping before transferring to airport for your flight home. End of services.
